成长型思维对学生数学成绩影响的比较研究

【摘  要】成长型思维对学生学业成绩的积极作用已受到学界的广泛关注,但关于两者之间关系的内在机制尚不明确,缺少大范围的实证研究。本研究基于PISA 2022的数据,构建结构方程模型,比较分析了中国澳门地区、新加坡和澳大利亚成长型思维对学生数学成绩的具体影响,考察二者关系的地域差异,以及数学自我效能感、数学焦虑在这一影响机制中的链式中介作用。结果表明:①成长型思维对学生数学成绩的影响具有明显的地域差异。在新加坡和澳大利亚两国,成长型思维对学生数学成绩均具有积极影响,且这一影响在澳大利亚更为显著,而在中国澳门地区,成长型思维与学生数学成绩的相关性并不显著。②在新加坡和澳大利亚两国,数学自我效能感、数学焦虑在成长型思维对学生数学成绩的影响机制中存在链式中介作用,且数学自我效能感对数学成绩的影响更为显著。③新加坡学生以数学焦虑为中介的路径影响效果远远强于澳大利亚。由此,本研究指出教育者应该针对不同国家和地区的社会、经济与数学教育特征,在正确培养学生成长型思维的同时对其他复杂心理要素进行干预,并从国家、学校与家庭三个层面给出提升数学教学效果的建议。

A Comparative Study on the Influence of Growth Mindset on Students' Mathematics Achievements

Abstract: The positive effect of growth mindset on students’ academic performance has received extensive attention from the academic community. However, the internal mechanism between the two remains unclear, and large-scale empirical research is still lacking. Based on the data of PISA 2022, this study constructed a structural equation model to comparatively analyze the specific impact of growth mindset on students’ mathematics performance in three countries (regions), namely Macao, China, Singapore, and Australia. It examined the regional differences in the relationship between the two, as well as the chain mediating role of mathematics self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety in this influence mechanism. The results show that: ①The influence of growth mindset on students’ mathematics achievements has obvious regional differences. In both Singapore and Australia, growth mindset has a positive impact on students’mathematics achievements, and this impact is more significant in Australia. However, in Macao, China, the correlation between the growth mindset and students’ mathematics achievements is not significant. ②In Singapore and Australia, mathematics self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety have a chain-like mediating effect in the influence mechanism of growth mindset on students’ mathematics performance, and the influence of mathematics self-efficacy on mathematics performance is more significant. ③ The influence effect of the path mediated by math anxiety among Singaporean students is much stronger than that in Australia. Therefore, this study points out that educators should, in light of the social, economic and mathematics education characteristics of different countries (regions), intervene in other complex psychological elements while correctly cultivating students’ growth thinking, and offer suggestions for improving the effectiveness of mathematics teaching from the three levels of the country, schools and families.
