【编者按】《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要（2010－2020年）》发布后，“办好开放大学”就成为萦绕开大人心头的使命，全国45家开放大学和广播电视大学都各挥洒笔墨书写新篇章。本刊一直关注并不断邀请各家开放大学的校领导畅谈对开放大学历史地位与使命的认识，描画心中发展开放大学的设想与战略。北京开放大学自挂牌以来，经过不断努力探索，对学校的办学定位和使命已经形成共识，以“学有所教，有教无类”为办学理念，以“好学力行，弘毅致远”为校训，以“质量立校，人才强校，开放兴校”为发展战略，致力于服务北京学习型城市建设，促进继续教育的创新发展，建设特色鲜明、国内一流、首都人民满意的新型大学。本期荣幸邀请北京开放大学书记、校长谈一谈如何承前启后探索开放大学之路。

Exploring the Path of Open University

Editor’s note: Since the release of the outline of the national plan for medium and long-term education reform and development (2010-2020),"Succeed in running an Open University" has become a mission for faculty of the school. All the "1+5+39" open universities are writing new chapters in their own history. The Journal has paying close attention to this issue and constantly inviting presidents of open universities to talk about their understanding of the historical position and mission of the Open University, and generating their grand plans and strategies for developing the Open University. Since approved by Minster of Education, Beijing Open University makes continuous efforts to explore and form its mission and vison. "Education for all" as the school-running idea, with "studious, virtuous and strong mind" as the motto, " quality, talents, opening" as the development strategy, "dedicated to lifelong learning in Beijing, promoting the innovative development of continuing education, constructing a characteristic, first-class, satisfactory new university". In this issue, the Party secretary and President of Beijing Open University are invited to talk about the experience in exploring the path of Open University.
